Alex offers psychotherapy based on a Systemic Person-Centred approach, which helps her clients to find transformational breakthroughs to troubling personal issues. Her therapy approach takes into account how emotional trauma and distress can affect both mind and body, and how this important connection between mind and body is the key to improved wellbeing. Her approach enables improvements to be achieved that can be integrated into the lives’ of her clients that make a real and positive difference.
Alex’s approach can be used to explore troublesome symptoms like general anxiety, stress and depression, eating disorders and sexual difficulties, insomnia and personality disorders such as OCD. Other issues such as bereavement/loss, abuse, addiction and dysfunctional relationships can also be addressed with this therapy. Alex’s therapy method makes conscious those psychological structures that are causing difficulty, so that step by step things can be improved. During sessions her clients become aware of the hidden dynamics that are keeping things stuck, and the therapy enables them to take an active stance towards the improvements they seek.
Being a Person-Centred therapist Alex’s attention is on creating a safe and empathic connection with her clients as they seek their improvements for wellbeing. Her sessions are oriented to connect with resources rather than weaknesses, and aim to strengthen her client’s healthy inner structures.
